Stripper Q&A – People seem to have a misguided idea about strippers!
“They don’t have normal jobs” “they don’t do anything else.” they aren’t smart” they are lazy.” “they all love to party and take recreational drugs” Ahhhh ok, thats like saying “all tradies like to drink beer” every man on the planet is an alcoholic.” seriously com on! girls in the industry work hard & smart. The Stripper Industry is beaming with intelligent, down to earth women. Most of these ladies work more than 1 job, have purchased their own home and even single mums whom support children alone.
we sit down with one of our girls to get some of the most common asked stripper questions answered.
Stripper Q&A – What was your stage name and how did you choose it?
My first Stripper name was lexi and I choose that name because it was similar enough from my real name so I answer to it. It rhymes with “Sexy” and its easy for blokes to remember haha.
Stripper Q&A – How do you teach yourself how to dance, move and strip in front of hundreds of people?
I started doing lap dances when I worked as a Topless Waitress on the Gold Coast. Once I had built up my confidence I then started practicing with a friend who did xxx shows. She showed me the ropes and taught me how to move like stripper sexy moves haha. After I became more comfortable I started doing R rated shows in front of the entire Bucks Party. Then once i felt comfortable enough to try incorporating toys in my shows I moved on to XXX Toy shows and Dominatrix shows.
Stripper Q&A – Do you leave town to work or do you not mind stripping in your home town?
Everyone is different when it comes to the adult Industry and work. I myself and comfortable working in my home town and I am not embarrassed by what I do. My family and friends know that I strip and I don’t need to hide it from anyone so I don’t. Other girls in the industry prefer to keep it quiet and stay under the radar. This may be because they have another job or family won’t approve. There are even some Strippers and Topless Waitresses out there who hide it from their partners.
Do your parents know what you do and what do they think?
Yes my parents know and they are pretty easy going people. My dad made a joke once, He said “what if i walk into a party and you’re there?” I said well turn your ass around and walk right back out! haha.
What are your typical “regulars” like?
The regulars are more so the customers we run into at the pub doing pub shifts. These men love to have a stubby or 2 with their work mates and enjoy chatting to the topless waitresses who do tips for tits and raffles. We don’t get too many regulars doing strip shows at private events because most of the clients are one offs. They tend to travel from interstate for Bucks Parties and only stay for the weekend.
Stripper Q&A – Do you get free stuff off clients and if so whats the best gift you have every received?
Ummmm, well yes I used to strip in a strip club before I started doing private shows. When I was preforming at the club I would get jewellery off one client and another used to bring me in designer hand bags. Most of the men at the club were very nice, these were the regular patrons. But we also had some very rude customers which would be your intoxicated ones. Some men would be very disrespectful but they would always get kicked out which was a relief.
Whats the weirdest request you have ever had from a client?
Oh gosh there has been a few haha. I had a guy that asked to lick my feet once at the end of a lap dance. He offered me $50 so I thought what the heck I may as well make an easy $50! At least I’m not taking my clothes off lol. I once had another client ask me if I would urinate on him at a private party. That was taking it a bit too far so unfortunately for him I had to turn it down.
Do you have a partner? and what does he or past partners think of your job as a stripper?
I don’t have a partner at the moment. I did have a partner and he was ok with it as we had known each other for years and he trusted me. He didn’t like it when customers would disrespect me though so I tried not to tell him too much if anything negative happened.
If I met someone it would most likely be through work anyway as I am working at bucks parties every weekend and I don’t have a chance to meet people elsewhere. So I always say “they knew what I did for work when they met me so if they don’t like it too bad”
Are you studying or do you have another job?
Yes I study at the moment I am at University doing my law degree. I have been at university for 3 years now and I am near the end of my course. I am not sure if i will quit stripping once I have my degree as I do enjoy performing and love the extra money.
Whats the average weekly wage you would take home from stripping?
Usually we can make anywhere from $350 a show upwards so it depends how many shows you do and if you want to work the whole weekend. Most weekends I would make $1500 + easy but if i need a break or don’t want to go to work I give myself a night off.
Do you ever meet guys at work?
Yes I have met a few men at work but nothing has eventuated yet from it. When I take topless waitressing shifts it’s a lot easier to meet guys and chat to them. But when you do a strip show it’s a lot harder because you are on a strict schedule and have to do your show then move on to the next one.
How long have you been stripping and why did you get into it?
I have been stripping for 4 years now and yes I do enjoy performing. It’s rewarding to provide a show that the buck and his mates won’t forget. The best part is humiliating him in front of his mates and not getting in trouble for it haha. I got into stripping before I started Uni and after I started waitressing. I could see all the extra money the strippers were making and I wanted to make extra cash especially when I started Studying.
Do you enjoy your job and the lifestyle that comes with it?
Yes for sure! I love that I can make a good amount of money in a short amount of time which means I am not as stressed with finances while I’m at Uni. It is great to have savings and stability so I am very grateful for what stripping has allowed me to do and the flexibility its given me.
If you could give girls any advice wanting to get into the stripping industry what would it be?
I would tell they start with a friend and work on jobs where there are other girls around them so they are more comfortable. I would also tell them to stay sober! This is a huge part of the industry there are so many drugs and a lot of alcohol around so it’s very easy to fall into a bad place. There have been many girls in the Industry that take drugs and end up in rehab and blow their money they have made. And then there are girls who spend everything they have made and don’t get ahead. I would say to have a plan in place of when you want to leave the industry, how much money you want to save and what you want to do with it. Always be careful with your money at work, hide it in a safe place where no one can find it like a sock in your stripper bag or something!
